Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage—I really loved this book. It’s a story that makes you appreciate your friends, prompting you to stop reading and text them just to say "hi."

It’s a book about the need of the human heart to beat strongly, to feel, and to share love. It explores loneliness, the sense of loss, abandonment, and how it can silently steal our energy and drain our souls until they are left as empty shells.

This delicate novel turns the deepest feelings into phrases with such mastery that you can truly make them yours. It's been a long time since I last cried while reading (the last instance was Allegiant, by the way).

This reading makes you reflect on how kindness, the warmth of words, compassion, and forgiveness are so necessary, as we never know the emotional background of every person—whether they are having a good day or if their pet is ill, which might explain why they didn’t say "Good morning" today. I enjoyed every page of this book.

The ending... mmm, I admit it disconcerted me, but you quickly realize that it is perfectly coherent with Tsukuru Tazaki's story, so I understood and loved it even more.
