I love The First Law and it was so much fun to rank the books in this world... do you agree with my list?

Truly one of the greats. Joe's writing is so sharp, so fluid and focused, his character work purely genius in my opinion. This book does peak somewhat around the middle, but the satisfaction of the character arcs (barre the Soldier of Fortune's) is undeniable. Joe flawlessly crafts a western in the clothing of a fantasy novel.

Aaaaaah! So good! SO. Bloody. Good.

Tyler Flowers I loved all the standalones! They all have their own unique style. The first law triology made me a fan of Joe's work. The standalones cemented him as a favorite. He's on my list of don't miss authors

Quinn Brant Just finished this for the first time myself! No doubt my favorite of the stand alones

Aidan Provost Is there a lot of action in this book?
