This is a wonderful and fascinating account of a truly inspirational family. The trials they faced with quiet and practical determination are almost unimaginable. Most fascinating for me was how the whole Dutch underground worked, the ability of these ordinary good people to come up with ingenious solutions to problems which seemed insermountable was extrordinary. I did find the section of the book after the family's arrest hard to read, the horrors, and the fear they faced made me shudder, and throughout it all they never once lost their faith. Corrie Ten Boom, has a lot to teach us still, about faith, forgiveness, strength and healing.
I am glad I picked this book up - I can't believe that having heard of Corrie Ten Boom - I hadn't read this book before.
