This is my least favorite of the Hollows series. Mostly because although the plot should deal with a Were issue, the peak of the book devotes a ton of time to the Rachel/Ivy relationship. And it drives me nuts. Rather than Ivy moving forward and finding love with someone else as she deserves to, she stubbornly clings to Rachel and her own past for reasons that perturb me. She said "no" Ivy. MOVE. ON. Heal. And I want the books to move on too. This is a sinkhole that Rachel blames herself for that drives me crazy. Because Ivy needs to fix herself. Not have Rachel bail her out of her emotional problems.

Beyond that - the Were plotline is light, which is a problem, though we do get a bit more David. Plus the way the hero group treats Humans in this book smacks a bit of hypocrisy. Even the way they treat Nick.

The positives take this to a decent rating. Rachel's self awareness. Nick getting his comeuppance. Big Jenks is awesome. Jax. David. And even Nick because he doesn't lie about who he is. Plus a poignant end scene that is beautifully written and moving.

I just can't wait to get back to demons, Kistin, Rachel at home, and Trent Kalamack. That's where this series is the best. This one was a speed bump.
