I thought it was a nice book and tried to keep myself away from the trailer since the choice or Robert Pattinson just doesn't do anything for me.
Anyway, it was an easy read and a good story but the intervals when he is older left me feeling like they were a bit pointless. He's old, I get it. He's grumpy, I get that too... so.... what? Is that it?
I did understand the concept, but it could have been much more developed, without that sudden shift at the end.
.. And on later consideration I realised this book feels like it's been rushed at the end. There are plot points that weren't wrapped up, and there was a sudden need to get to the end. Had this been a bit more thoroughly developed- both in the flashbacks and in the recent narration I think I would have really enjoyed this book.
