Don't judge the book by its movie, they said. But since the first time I saw the movie, I already knew one thing: the book is better. The movie is good. But the book is jaw-and-tears-dropping one.

This is the story of the colors of the world in WWII. There were red (Communist), white (Jewish), and black (Nazi). The story reveals the human as a complicated race; so evil yet so kind, so beautiful yet so ugly.

This book is a sweet torturing one for me. The words are not only well written and magical but also heart-wrecking! It attempts me to slow my reading speed but it offers me the curiosity of knowing the whole story as well. I had to distract myself so often so I wouldn't finish it so fast but I found that I'm only, inevitably, getting closer. And I'm done. And I find myself feeling guilty and sad and flustered. This book kills me. I will definitely reread this one!

He stands over your shoulder repeating one thing, incessantly. 'Get it done, get it done.' So you work harder. You get the job done. The boss, however, does not thank you. He asks for more."
