The Sun Is Also a Star

I loved and appreciated a lot of aspects of this; the message, the writing and pov choices, the pace, the characters...but ultimately I never connected with the relationship, and as a contemporary romance- that's sort of the biggest element of the story. It was too over the top, cheesy, needy, instalove rom-com for me personally, and I never felt the connection that all the other reviewers have.

"this seems so set up to be a movie. like they couldn't just have a fight, it has to be physical so he can show up to his interview all disheveled and the girl will probably swoon all over him"

"I hope he skips the interview. cause if not, there'll be some unnecessary and desperate monologue about falling in love with a girl and...so rom com."
