I usually LOVE Melissa Marr. I've met her on multiple occasions and since middle school, when her Wicked Lovely series came out, I have been in LOVE with her faerie novels. And yet none of this did the trick for me.
I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed I didn't enjoy it, disappointed in the characters, in the story, in the pacing. I don't know what it is about this book, but there was almost no part of it that I enjoyed, and that makes me really, really sad. Especially considering that Marr is one of my favorite authors. All I can say is that I hope her next piece is better, and I hope that it makes me enjoy this series much more than I am.
