really liked it
bookshelves: listened, dystopian-future, borrowed, juvenile

I really enjoyed this book, but some of the reviews I read really made me think I shouldn't have. So, let me express what I like about it: I like that it makes you think about your life and your community and the rules you abide to. I don't see it as being about what it would be living in a place where our "enemies" won (nazis, communists, taliban or whoever) but rather what we don't see we don't see because "we" won. If you were tought "this" is the best country in the world and there is nothing better out there. If you were tought your religion has all the truth and you are a member of the chosen few. If you think this is the best way when you never experienced anything else, you need to read this book again, and go Elsewhere for a while, and see all the colors you've been missing.
