All of my life, I have heard my dad and relatives use the term 'Scotch Irish' and was never sure exactly what that entailed. Now, I know. This survey would be an interesting read for anyone of Scotch Irish decent. It details the polictical and economic conditions that drove peasant farmers from Scotland to Ulster (Northern Ireland) and, for many, ultimately to the 'Colonys.'
