Read 2 times. Last read June 6, 2016.

I've been waiting for this since I finished the last page of The Rook, and it was worth it. Just pure fun. Loved the Grafters, loved the notes of horror and humour, the excellent deployment of swearing, the throwaway inventiveness. Glommed this on holiday and wouldn't do anything else till I'd finished. Also, I really love that the three leads are all female, well-drawn, no dominant vampire boyfriend nonsense undermining them, just three professional women of mostly high competence. This series is a huge happy place for me. There are a few editing snafus, inc some shonky POV switches, but other than that, a joy. Now I want the next one. /looks meaningfully at watch, taps foot/

Second read Jan 2023 because I have a dismal cold. Still immense fun. Still waiting impatiently for the next to come out in the UK.
