A haunting story that sent a shudder through me at the end. This would have made a perfect episode of the old TV series "The Twilight Zone". Nevertheless, it was a first class fun read.

I read this a while back and really enjoyed it too. Yes! The Twilight Zone!

Yes, it's a brilliant imagining - and it has been filmed a few times, though I've not seen it since I was maybe a teen, so forget the details.
Oooh! I didn't think about that! This would have made a wonderful Twilight Zone episode!!!
