I first thought the book is about a single character, but I was mildly surprised to see that it is actually a collection of short stories. Set in a school in rural Bengal, it paints a hilarious portrait of the students and their lives both inside and outside of school.

If you were a trouble maker at school, you'll be able to relate with the characters. If you weren't, you would enjoy it anyway.
