Whoah. Fast. Gritty. You know from page one this ain't no comedy. Pollack juxtaposes sense of place with spirituality, family and fate. A page-turner not for the prude. True grit lit. Thanks David Joy - another great grit lit author who's works should be read - for the suggestion.
