I learned so much about Musician and Poet Patti Smith. This is a wonderful tale about her young life with her close friend Robert Mapplethorpe, an incredible photographer whom I would have never known without her sweet prose. It touched me and made me envious of her days spent at the Chelsy Hotel. Wow, great read, I recommend this book to any person that has listed to Patti read her work or song, and yearned for more.
