This was a great debut novel. The writing was very well executed and I thought the characters were well thought out. This really kept me guessing until the end. My 4 star rating is because it was a little slow at parts (but not too slow and not for that long), but mostly because I didn't care for the author's choice in the resolution of the crime. That is completely a personal opinion, but I felt like it had a little more build up than what the ending turned out to be. I doubt anyone else will share that view, but it was a little disappointing.

I will read the next installment in what looks like the beginning of a new series. Looking forward to it.
