** spoiler alert ** Ok, I'm a total mess when it comes to this book. But I need to rant about it, so grab your seats people because I have very hateful feelings towards this book.

First off I'd like to say I was sooo freaking disappointed by this book. I was hoping hunger games between sisters, but instead i got this shit.

Most of the book was so boring and I hated the way the author chose to narrate it, because I felt that there was zero depth, things just happened suddenly and so fast I couldn't connect with any of the characters.

I really thought the 3 of them would have powers, I mean even on the back cover it says so. But no, only one sister has powers and that is bullcrap. I wanted three badass main characters not two weak useless queens and an annoying queen with feelings. I really wanted the three of them to be cold hearted bitches. But NOOOO.

Also I hated the love interests, the 3 of them were soooo plain and I just wasn't feeling it. I don't care for them.
And don't let me begin with Joseph fucking Sandrin. Who do you love???????????? Jules? Or Mirabella? That part was just so stupid. Why?????? I found him to be such a hypocrite. And Jules didn't even care!!!!!! Ahhghhhhhhhh!!!!!

And btw I predicted the ending halfway through the book, so jokes on you.
I felt like I was reading a really bad soap opera with fantasy thrown in just to have more drama.
There where a few things I liked: the familiars and the whole Beltane stuff. But the rest was so meh.
I'm so sorry Kendare, but your book just wasn't for me.
I also didn't like the whole power of the poisoners. I wanted a poison ivy kind of shit.
Maybe I'll read the second book, just maybe. I am indeed a little intrigued to see what happens next.
1.5 is my final rate. I couldn't decide between 1 or 2 stars, so there you go. 3/10
