it was amazing

This was a devastatingly sad book to read. A child was taken from her home and everything she knew at 11 years old. The awful people that took her did unthinkable things to her mind, soul, body, and spirit. Being the Mommy to 3 girls, my heart ached for the loss of Jaycee's innocence. What happened to her is every parent's worst nightmare. One of my daughters is 11 years old, and I cannot imagine how she would survive such awful things.

God gave us resilient spirit's and by his grace, Jaycee survived. She told her story to give hope to those who are in her circumstance, whether figuratively or literally. Her story, while tragic, gives so much hope for anyone who is hurting or has been hurt.

I am glad the evil people that took her got caught, and Jaycee and her girls lived to tell their story. I pray that God would shine his light in all the dark places where little girls and boys are being hidden for the same reasons Jaycee was.

If anything, that is what this book taught me...to pray harder for my girls, and pray for those who are held captive in places we would never guess.
