Ever since I read the blurb of this book on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ I knew I would read it as soon as it got published. Also the cover depicting four blank faces made me curious about this young adult mystery novel. For those of you who have enjoyed Sara Shepard's books, One of Us Is Lying might be a perfect choice as your next read. This novel is a page-turner and I think the strongest element of this book is the way the author managed to portray in a very realistic manner the teenagers' struggles generated by their lives at school and their lives at home. As a high school student, I could relate with each of the main characters to a certain degree. The ending was somehow surprising but I didn't necessarily read this book breathlessly because I was in need of mind-blowing twists. I simply enjoyed the relationships between the characters, especially the one between Bronwyn and Nate. This novel addresses issues of paramount importance but if I talked about them I would practically spoil the entire plot. I can hardly believe that this was a debut novel. It was a really entertaining read and I cannot wait for the next releases of the talented Karen M. McManus.
