A really solid book about a mother and son dealing with the aftermath of a terrible husband and father. Love Briar Wilks, the widow and even warmed to Zeke the bratty son through the alternating viewpoint chapters. The book has zombies in it, but like most zombie fiction the true villans are other people. (Hell is other people?) Looking forward to reading more in this alternative history, steam punk, airship flying world.
