I adored this book. What an amazing series- TJ can do no wrong!!
This book was a fantastic back story to some of the main characters and the journeys they had gone down. Gordo was a muchloved favourite of mine from Wolfsong and his story was sad and filled with so much angst and hurt, it really showed the reader why he was the way he was.
I loved the magical element of this story. The only bit I didn’t adore was the whole door section at the end but I had been reading for hours and hours as I couldn’t put this down.
The light-hearted moments were much needed and I thought made this a more enjoyable read than Wolfsong. How hilarious are Team Human- capitalised so it must be true!!!!
I laughed lots, I also cried, gasped a couple of times and cringed with glee at the awkward moments from Mark and Gordo’s youth.
I am so intrigued about Carter’s wolf- I had already had a thought about who he could be so the last section was exciting to read.
It was a rollercoaster and one that I will embark on again as this definitely deserves a reread.
I can’t recommend it highly enough. Better than the first? I think so. 5 super stars.
July 2019- update!
I just wanted to read it again, ready for book number three that comes out in September. So bloody excited!!!
