Hmm... There is an advantage to reading a book before seeing the movie. In this case, I'll have to say I like the movie better simply because I'm used to Wizard of Oz, musical movie, not Wizard of Oz, children's book. I miss the ruby slippers and the musical numbers when I read the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Not that it's a bad book, of course, just not the same. My advice: Just go watch the movie again. (If you live under a rock and have never seen said movie, you're lame and need to go watch it right now!)
