I really enjoyed this book. While it is fiction, it reads more like non-fiction. When I was reading, I couldn't help but notice similarities between L.M. Montgomery and Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables. There were some moments in Maud that were both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Maud is a well researched book about family, friendship, and following your dreams. After reading this book, with material pulled from Montgomery's own personal journals, I am more curious to read them. I highly recommend this book to fans of L.M. Montgomery.
