THE BOOK ARRIVED THIS AFTERNOON! IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!
But WOW this was a doozy. I am not okay. This is absolutely the most harrowing thing that has ever happened to any BSC member, including all the times Stacey has almost died.
And it was so heart wrenching to read about Mary Anne losing all her pictures and letters from her mom! In "Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic," her dad gives her a letter that her mother wrote to her before she died. It breaks my heart to think that that letter is gone forever now. Obviously human (and animal) lives are the most important thing -- I'm very glad Mary Anne, Richard, Sharon, and Tigger made it out safely -- but objects can have sentimental value too. Especially irreplaceable ones, like photos and letters from your dead mom.
Anyway. On to the "Friends Forever" series!!
