A few drunks and some yank blow up a bridge. The trouble is, it takes them nearly 500 pages to do it... Perhaps because they were drunk? Not my favorite Hemingway book...

It took me three months to wade through the book's 500 plus pages! It's slow moving and rather dull. However, it does have its moments which do make it worth while. I would still recommend it with the caveat to be patient!
