I don't know... I was really vacillating between 2 and 3 stars on this one. It definitely gave me insight into class and gender in Egyptian culture, and also what it means to be a writer/mother, and it's very poetic in places, but I couldn't love it because I couldn't seem to connect with any of the characters.
