did not like it

I like the concept, as it is phase 2 of what we have now, the power of the internet in our heads. In Feed the majority of the world has constant knowledge available at a thought, instant messaging in our head. No one needs to read or write, and few can. But the conversations and activities these teenagers engaged in was not interesting to me. And the constant advertising in their thoughts (and my audio book) was beyond irritating. Their thoughts were Never quiet and they depended on this constant noise. When they had been hacked, had to be hospitalized, and had no noise in their head they sat around looking at their fingers. Did not know how to have a conversation, how to get or read a physical book. I need another version of a brain implant story.

M.T. Anderson
“I don't know when they first had feeds. Like maybe, fifty or a hundred years ago. Before that, they had to use their hands and their eyes. Computers were all outside the body. They carried them around outside of them, in their hands, like if you carried your lungs in a briefcase and opened it to breathe.”
