Going into this, I have no idea how I'll rate this book. On one hand we got to read about our favorite characters once again, but on the other hand this book lacked.
There was no plot (unless you like to read about people shopping for Christmas Winter Solstice) and the bits of a plot we got weren't explored at all. I know, I know... we're going to read about that in the next few books... but still. I don't consider Rhys's blue balls a plot. :D
All the character development we got by the time ACOWAR ended simply disappeared. And I was soooo looking forward to Nesta and Cassian. What did I get? Literally one scene of them. Arguing. Badly. Meh.
Tamlin is broken and - don't get me wrong, he did make some major mistakes - just gets to be kicked by Rhys again. I don't think he deserves all this hate. Neither from the fandom, nor from the characters! Let the poor man breathe. And let him have a HEA.
Also, Maas keeps messing with my ship of Lucien and Elain. I want them to be together. Lucien needs to get a HEA. He deserves it. Poor guy. Instead of Elain moping and not speaking to him AT ALL, I'd expected them to at least be trying to know each other. But Lucien can't stand being with her in one room? WTF?! And Azriel deserves better than being with a woman mated to somebody else. He needs to meet his own mate. However, I don't think this is gonna happen, so I at least hope that Maas writes Azriel and Elain and Lucien and Vassa well. I'll be mad otherwise.
And the climax of the book was literally a climax. Feyre's climax. I don't need to read another sex scene between Feyre and Rhys, I want to know more about the other characters. Pronto. :D

Ok, rant over. It was also funny the way only the Illyrian babies can be funny and I loved the other POVs. The best thing though? The sneak peak from the next book. Because Nesta, Cassian and Illyrians? I can't wait to read it. I'm betting on Nesta being the Illyrian leader in no time, lol. :D

So... 3,5 stars? I guess...
