The Changeling

Lavalle uses a centuries old approach to tackle 21st century concerns such as online data sharing, parental anxieties and, to a lesser degree, race relations. Lavalle certainly has a lot to say with his old school fairy tale, and the creativity is undeniable, but the story dragged and the writing was clunky at times. Even the climactic scenes were of the ho-hum variety. It was a fast read, but one that I will forget rather quickly. Just okay.
