"I wasn't stupid enough to believe that though the war had ended, all wounds had been healed."
This is a feel-good book. Something to get you all giddy and warm and fuzzy about your favourite characters. If I'm being super frank, this basically read like a fan-fic from the author. Like Sarah J. Maas just decided that she just wants her characters to have some fun, ship them together and gush about them.
Which is not bad...I mean, if you really love the Inner Circle from the ACOTAR series and just wanna spend your spare time with some old friends, this is the book for you. If you want action, you want tension, you want plot, then reading this is probably not a very good idea. I personally read this at a time of great distress you might know as post-favourite-character-death (not gonna get into specifics—you really don't wanna mess with my tear reserve) and I just needed some familiar faces to get back to. Not gonna lie, this book has a lot of mistakes and just general purring and vulgar-gesturing, but this is not what my review is about. Pretty sure that and my rating would be very different if those were really the things I was looking for in this book. Plus you can find that in other reviews of my awesome friends here at ŷ. I'm not getting into that here.
However, if you feel like ACOFAS is an important one to read since it's "the bridge connecting this series to the upcoming one", umm...it's really not. The only part in this that connects it to the others is the excerpt at the end. If you really want the filler, just read the excerpt. There's no need for reading the whole novella if you know it's not for you.
My thoughts? Pretty obvious, I think. I really enjoyed my time looking back at the characters. Took me out of an impending slump! I think that pretty much does the job lol. But I'm really excited about Crescent City and the next one in this series!! (If I manage to live my death from KOA ;')

Ok I know I’m late, but that’s because I was tryna hold myself together. I cannot wait y’all!! Feysand are the narrators, we have Winter Solstice, and Feyre’s Birthday?!!!! This is going to be straight up *AMAZING* and even that’s an understatement.
GOD BLESS THE QUEEN SARAH J. MAAS 🙌🏼
