The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The story is narrated by Christopher, a fifteen- year-old boy with autism, who sets out to solve the mystery of who killed Wellington, the dog belonging to his neighbour. The mystery isn't difficult for the readers to work out, what makes the book interesting is the insight it affords into the working of the mind of a person with autism. The characters and events are seen entirely from Christopher's point of view, and so you get some idea of what it might be like to be an autistic person. I don't exactly warm to the character of Christopher, in fact I find him rather unnerving, but seeing things from his point of view was interesting,if disconcerting. I frankly find the behaviour of his parents unbelievable though.
