Reread before jumping into the last book. Still really great. I'm very excited for the finale, though just like before Ignite Me, I have no idea how this can be wrapped up in just one book. But I guess I'll find out soon!

-----------

Finished this a few days ago, but forgot to review it. So, was it good? Yes. Yes, it really was. If you've read the previous 4, go pick this one up already. It's great.

I had some reservations going into this one, because while rereading the last one I realised that really not that much happened in it. If I look back at this one, that's probably technically the case again, but I really didn't care while reading it. Because where Restore Me was all build up and shocking revelations, Destroy Me told us everything we could want to know about all those secrets and then some. It really showed how much Tahereh Mafi was holding back with the original trilogy (which was already great).

And then as the ending was getting closer, everything came to a head and it was fantastic. I just don't know how the next book can be the end. We have a pretty clear next step ahead at the end of this book, but I don't think one book can possibly be enough to wrap up what's going on in this world. Especially considering the way the plot has been paced so far. To be fair, that kind of what happened with the original finale. It was a great trilogy ending, but the world had so much longer to go. As proved by these new books, of course! So maybe we'll get even more books??? One can hope!

As for my spoilery thoughts: (view spoiler)

I still need to pick up Shadow Me, I can't believe I haven done that yet! I love Kenji, so that should be good! And then the waiting for the end will begin. After reading Shatter Me, I never would have believed I'd keep reading these books for so long, but I've genuinely grown to love this series and Juliet, so I'm in it until the end, however much more Tahereh Mafi has in store for this world.
