Not at all bad, but neither was it great. Reminds me of Outlander for some reason, there is a lot of scope and a lot of lore. It also reminded me of a favorite tv series of mine The Witches of East End though I admit I love that storyline better than this book.

Diana was... just a bit too perfect, if not boring. Matthew a bit too overprotective/possessive. Their love story was odd and a bit of a slow burn but when it ignited it was an explosion. It went from zero to married. huh?

The book ended in a good place and it is really exciting where its going but I will have to give it a miss. I have started rewatching the witches of east end though!
