I really wanted to like this book but the pacing issues and cliches made it almost impossible to enjoy. The ending was strong which was nice but it took forever to get going and turned into an object hunt which I didn’t like. The instalove was cringy and the contrived party slowed down the story for no reason. I like the west African culture but it couldn’t save this book.
