bookshelves: ancient-world, western-european, historical-fiction, fiction, greece

I enjoyed reading the Miller's moving retelling of the Illiad. Like Mary Renault, she transports the reader to that very different time and place that was ancient Greece. Her prose is sparse and sharp.
