“This is how an idea becomes real. But ideas are fragile things. Most don’t live long outside of the ether from which they were pulled, kicking and screaming. That’s why people create with someone else. Two minds can sometimes improve the odds of an idea’s survival…but there are no guarantees.
Holy freaking hell. This was about a hundred percent better than I ever expected.
I can definitely see why everyone likes it so much.
The whole concept of the story is kinda deceptive. Sure, when I first heard it, I thought it sounded interesting but, well, it's just that the descriptions I heard really don't make it justice.
Love between warring species and their desperate fight to keep their infant daughter safe and out of reach of the many people who want to harm them.
A space love story full of action and incredibly high stakes.
These are just a few ways that you could describe in a few words.
“Violence is stupid. Even as a last resort, it ever only begets more of the same. Conflict always has consequences. Always.
I fell in love with the main characters.
Alana and Marko make an incredibly cute couple and a deadly one as well.
One of my favorite things about them is just how achingly human and realistically their relationship is portrayed. They are very much in love. They just had their whole relationship change. They are in a very tense and dangerous situation. All of that is bound to create somethings to work around.
I would be reading and catch myself thinking "Well, damn, that's exactly how you react to that" which, all in all, is more difficult to come by than you would believe.
Alana is fierce, smart, resourceful and somehow still very tender. There were moments when she took me completely by surprise. Marko is pacifist which can lead him to be a bit naive at times but don't let that deceive you, he's incredible, terrifyingly capable.
“Doesn’t matter if it’s personal or professional, a good partnership takes work.
The rest of the cast was just as interesting and funny.
Izabel gave me the creeps at the beginning but I liked her instantly. Her down I'm-so-done-with-all-of-this attitude got me every time.
The Will is... pragmatic. I don't believe that I quite know what to make of him and whether I like him or not. His cat, on the other hand, is a companion I would gladly take.
I feel bad for Prince IV but at the same, I'm half terrified of him. I'm afraid of the path he will take and I suspect a bit of what will end up happening and I can tell that if I'm right I don't want to be near the blast zone.
Point being, they all add a good scope of diversity and different points of view to the story. You can really get to know the world.
“I want to show our girl the universe.
The world created here is so wide.
The different races are at once interesting and ridiculously hilarious. But they are fun to see.
Saga turn out to be a lot more explicit than I ever expected it to be. In all sides. Which makes me glad I didn't read this before. I wouldn't have appreciated it nearly as much a few years ago.
Now I do.
I appreciate the honest way everything is told. Sure it's told from Hazel's, the child, point of view and therefore it's a story, but it doesn't shy away from really depicting how difficult it all is.
“Once upon a time, each of us was somebody’s kid. Everyone had a father, even if he never provided anything more than his seed. Everyone had a mother, even if she had to leave us on a stranger’s doorstep. No matter how we’re eventually raised, all of our stories begin the exact same way. They all end the same, too.

I'm finally gonna read this.
I don't believe there has ever been a time when I didn't know about Saga, it's very popular after all, and I must admit that after a little while it started to tickle my curiosity. So, after who knows how long, here I am finally picking it up.
The art it's supposed to be really good and that alone always motivates me to read comics. What can I say? I like art.
But the premise of this is also incredibly interesting.
I really hope it doesn't leave me down.

""From my very first day, I was pursued by men. All of them tried to hurt me, but only one managed to break my heart. Sorry, getting ahead of myself"
Darn it! Don't do that!
This is so good! Why did I wait so long to finally read it?"
