When I first picked this up a year ago I couldn't get through the first 50 pages. But then picking it up recently I breezed through it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Says a lot about reading and your state of mind. This is a superb debut novel that touches on some very human themes, with absolutely brilliant characters. Best use of first person I've read in a long time.
