Fight Club

This one is hard to describe outside all the usual memes of "first rule of..." - good sounding bullsh!t masquerading as philosophy, or is that a true deep thought attempting to hide in violence
Honestly tho, this book is the best litmus test for sifting out dudebro assholes in your life: do they misinterpret the objectivity as glorification. Fight Club is about shitty toxic masculinity & every single word out of Tyler's mouth is snake-oil con-man sales pitch which sounds deep if you don't think about it for more than 5 seconds.
but goddamn are those slimy lines written well & are so quotable!
And while you're at it, try to grab a newer edition. Chuck writes up a great new Afterword

“I was tired and crazy and rushed, and every time I boarded a plane, I wanted the plane to crash. I envied people dying of cancer. I hated my life. I was tired and bored with my job and my furniture, and I couldn’t see any way to change things.
Only end them.”
