did not like it

Yikes.
I read some Jacqueline Wilson as a child and LOVED them (mainly Tracey Beaker), and after I saw that Maddie and Bee on BookTube have been talking about her books over the last few months, I decided to give her books a crack as an adult. So I went on her website, unsure of where to start and I decided why not just start at the beginning? Her website listed Love Lessons as her first published work (that was still available and in print) so I rented the ebook out from my library and OH MY LANTA this was horrible.
Firstly, it's about a student teacher romance which NO THANK YOU.
Secondly, the romance was not believable IN THE SLIGHTEST on his part.
Thirdly, the constant fat shaming was sooooooo bad.
Fourthly (is that even a word?) the main character was HORRIBLE. Like, yes she was constantly abused by her father, but she never once thought about how her actions and words would affect others.
This book gets a bit fat NOPE from me, but I will continue to try out her other books - the ones that I'm actually interested in like her Victorian novels and her more popular, well loved books.

Sapphire Violet Prue kept fat-shaming her sister!!!!

Eleri-May I thought this book was good, though it was quite hard to get into it at the start. The more you read, the more you get into it. I would recommend it for 11-15 year olds.

Kylie-Anna **WARNING THIS REVIEW HAS SPOILERS** Number one, why the hack would someone fat shame, eww HORRIBLE number two, why would a fourteen year old girl be in love with a 20 something year old teacher! Also, the kissing scenes are eww ik Jacqueline Wilson is like over 40 she writes like she is eighteen, this kissing scenes, are ILLEGAL 🚫 OMG, WHO WOULD DEVELOP FEELING FOR THEIR TEACHER, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT BUGS MEE I TOTS AGREE WITH YOU GUYS 😊😊 But yes, most of the parts are soooo illegal and she's one of the bestselling authors kids read her book, and to find illegal parts in it, would make kids want to develop feeling for a guy 7years older than him\her SORRY good the spoilers *IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH MY REVIEW PLS DON'T GET MADE, IT WAS MY OPINION ONLY, AND ALSO I'M NOT TRYING TO OFFEND THE AUTHOR, I JUST DON'T LIKE HOW MUCH ILLEGAL AND HATE PARTS ARE IN IT*

Kylie-Anna I'm not saying that you can't develop feelings for a man 30 years older, but I want to inform you, any seven yearolds reading this book, I recommend you be in secondary to read a book like this

Kylie-Anna But you can marry who you want, but if your TEACHER starts messing with you, it gets you into trouble, even your own teacher could get sacked, so I'm not saying "Don't marry a man\woman 40years older than u" I'm trying to say that it your TEACHER starts messing with you, it rlly isn't ok, don't act like it's ok, and feel in-house an hour loving your teacher, call 911 (in America) Or call 999 (in britain) although, if you really think your meant to be for your teacher talk to the police mum's dad's about it! It'll sought things out, also now ik why she gotten abused, it's so obvious!
