A Fine Balance

Drawn in my a trio meeting accidentally on a train. Evocative of a typical Indian train journey well captured.
Their background lives are followed in detail. It’s harsh and tough reading at times but always great storytelling draws you on not particularly hopeful but just great talent of a wonderful author.
You keep hoping everything will turn out well for the characters, right to the end.
A rare thing a novel I enjoyed. Am usually to be found reading factual books.
Thank you Rohinton for a wonderful poignant read.
