Having never read anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald before, I was really impressed with his writing in this wonderful, if bitter, novel. A slice of life drama set amidst the greed and decadence of the roaring 20's with few, if any, likeable characters besides the narrator. Fitzgerald still manages to tell a beautiful story and one that is worthy of the title classic.
