Let me start out by saying I would really give this book 3.5 stars.
I have mixed emotions about this book because the storyline was intriguing, but I spent a good majority of the book waiting to know what exactly the deal was, only to be given a nugget of backstory with an indication the rest will come later. I think this is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it kept me interested but bad because I was frustrated at times. To boot, we still don't know why Cam has such an interest in Luce and why she felt any pull towards him. Furthermore, what is this truce business between Daniel and Cam? And why was Daniel hanging out with Roland when we know he is on the 'other side'?
I have Torment, the next book in the series, and I will definitely be starting that one before the week is out :0)
