really liked it
bookshelves: science-fiction, ideas, gutenberg

Fascinating and ground-breaking science fiction. Interesting ideas, stylistically pretty readbale. Higly recommended for both science fiction and wider historical value.

I read the Penguin Classics edition of this, translated by Clarence Brown, and with the cover of Anton Brzezinski's "Futuristic Buildings."

I see Project Gutenberg has the Gregory Zilboorg translation, so I'm going to ditch my paper copy and read a different version next time.

Cecily I can't comment on Brown or Zilboorg (though I've seen criticisms of the latter), but Natasha Randall's was excellent, and includes notes about how she set about the task.
