Brideshead Revisited

I greatly enjoyed this book and think it's the kind of novel one gets more out of with every reread. However, for those not enamored of England and its class system or not seeped in religion (whether Roman Catholic or Anglican), it might go right over their heads. And I never found the ultimate ending/denouement all that convincing anyway.

I love Brideshead Revisited...in fact, all of Waugh's work. I do think this is his best, though. And markedly different from his other stuff, which is wonderfully snarky.
What about the ending did you find unconvincing? The fact that Nanny was *still* alive and listening to the wireless all those years later? :-)
