it was amazing

This book is a gem! The feeling you get of being there, knowing the host of characters and living their fits and starts. Cannery Row is depression era microcosm of men down on their luck trying their very best to make life worth living. Doc, who forgives and forgets the residents of the Palace Flophouse their goodhearted mishaps and is always there for them. It’s both hilarious, bittersweet, beautifully landscape and simply a major pleasure to read. Read it!
