** spoiler alert ** I bought this for my 13 year old and decided to read it myself. I’m seriously considering pulling it from my son’s Kindle before he starts it. I’m fine with profanity, no problem with a 14 year old narrator who is preoccupied with sex...but the author really blew his attempt to include a sympathetic gay character. He’s not fully realized and is brutally and abruptly sacrificed in order to supply some kind of emotional drama and depth.
