I am a huge fan of the hobbit movie series and I really enjoyed the book because of that. I understand the environmental and historical context in which this book was written (really old), a fact that makes me appreciate the book even more. I've read enough things about Tolkien to know that he was a genius of his era. Love the book and the whole franchise.
