I get it. This book was a filler, and a little fluff piece, but there was no plot here. This is something that should be at the start of the next book. A novella should have a plot, and this one didn’t.
Now, some OTHER things to nitpick with this ‘novella:
The first three books were amazing, but I’m not sure if I can go back to another three of purely Feyre and Rhysand. I want some Nesta and Cassian action, and I want Lucien to go back to his merry band of exiles so Azriel and Elain can get together.
I think what I’m most over is the constant sex, and I get it, I do. They love each other, and because they’re mates they have this physical drive to have sex but I want to see some cuddling. I want to see some shameless flirting without her calling him prick (and that’s the end of it) or them just having blatant mind sex. I want to see them lying in bed and just snuggling, not because they’re exhausted and can’t have anymore sex, but just because sex isn’t all a relationship is about. It’s getting a little old. Sure, I’d be fine if we switched to another couple having sex (because that would be new and there would be some other feelings involved). I love them together, and I want to know if they have a baby and how they’ll sort through their future. I just don’t want to read a book with 50% sex (physical or mind).
Another thing, is I want Azriel and Elain to get together because I want to see ONE couple get together out of love and not be mates (and STAY that way). I’m glad Feyre and Tamlin didn’t get together because he was abusive and wanted a trophy wife, but not all mates are meant to be together. Not everything is just sex.
Like I wrote in my previous review, I’m fine with their being no more Rhysand and Feyre. I want to see more of the other people anyway.
I want to read the next book, but please let it have a plot.
