I preordered this book months before it arrived in my mailbox. I thought I would love it. I didn’t. I found it to be a very slow read. There were many heartwarming moments and Michelle Obama is quite an accomplished woman but the book was not as engaging as I hoped it would be.

"I am on page 4 and am feeling that a statement has rubbed me the wrong way. Michelle is talking about the area in which she used to live in the South Side of Chicago. She states � White families, meanwhile, were moving out of the city in droves, lured by the suburbs- the promise of better schools, more space, and probably more whiteness, too.� Hmmm..."
