Me and my group members started a group project over the book 1984. My overall viewpoint and opinion on the book is that the book is pretty boring and found it hard to get invested in the book. I just didn’t like it and it just wasn’t my style of book that I like reading. Reasons for me saying that is quotes like “winston had woken up with his eyes full of tears.�� Things like that I found boring and never really caught my interest. I wasn’t really interested in the whole love story between Winston and Julia.. I just never really cared for that also the storyline just made me feel bored and lose interest in the book. I also felt like this book was confusing at points because it just never made sense�� at least to me with how it jumps around and what not. My overall opinion on the book 1984 is that it was a well developed book but it just didn’t catch my interest or it wasn’t my style of book I like reading.
Personally I would not recommend this book to any of my friends, because most of my friends share the same interest as me and we would never really read anything like this. I also think that since this book is a little hard to understand and comprehend my friends wouldn’t really end up understanding it and end up either stop reading it or be like me and just didn’t really care for the book. Also most tennagers like myself wouldn’t really show interest towards this book because they are more invested in the modern things like phones and what not so they really don’t make/take their time to sit down and read a book like this. I know that I would’ve never read this book if it wasn’t for this project I had to do. Overall I just wouldn’t recommend this book to high schoolers because the style of book it is doesn’t really catch a high schoolers interest.
I really didn’t have that many feelings to the book because I wasn’t that interested but if I had to choose one it would be boring because that’s what I thought of the book. My impression of the book was that it was weird and a little hard to pick up on the storyline. Also with how the book ended it was weird because it was a cliffhanger that leaves you to make predictions on what you think happens next instead of you questioning what happens next. I think that the flow of the book worked really well because it kept the story moving and kept trying to keep the reader interested. I think that the story itself could use a little improvement because at times there are spots where it does get boring and I lost whatever interest I had. My final thoughts of the book is that it could use a little work but otherwise it was a decent book, just not my style of book that I like reading.
